From the city that brought you the ever-so-effective gun ban victim disarmament and a ban on fois gras comes a new faaaabulous idea!

Aldermen have given preliminary approval to an ordinance that would ban the sale or possession of tiny plastic bags often used by drug dealers.

WBBM Political Editor Craig Dellimore reports the City Council Health Committee has okayed the measure

The bags are two-inch, sealable, plastic and stamped with little logos, like hearts, spiders or superhero symbols. And 2nd Ward Alderman Bob Fioretti says, in his area, they’re used to hold crack cocaine and heroin. Many are decorated with little logos that police say identify the kind of drugs contained within.
Because, obviously, drug dealers won’t use other containers to peddle their wares!  Drugs are banned, and it’s the little baggies that are facilitating their illegal distribution!  Ban the baggie, and the ban will be effective, because those who are willing to break the law by selling drugs, will absolutely obey it when it comes to not purchasing small zipper pouches!

Visualize ziplock baggie police!

Boy… I’m just getting a headache!

By the way, Bob Fioretti is one of the Brady Center darlings who thinks that banning guns in the rest of the state will help lower Chicago’s crime rate, instead of giving armed thugs more disarmed prey to victimize.  It is, therefore, unsurprising that this asshat would work to ban little plastic bags as a panacea for drug crime!
