I hate election season. I really, really do. Real issues get tossed aside in favor of banal platitudes and mudslinging, politicians speak in pithy bumpersticker talk, and when they do open their mouths, the most inane crap comes pouring out, which makes me reconsider our entire system of government.
And then, there are what I call shitstirrers – idiots who are SO intent on ensuring their candidate comes out victorious, they’re willing to do nearly anything stupid and retarded or mean and twisted to achieve their goals. Their entire function during an election is to stir the shit, and in the process, they certainly show their ass.
Such were/are the demented libtards who insisted on perpetuating the “Trig Palin is not really Sarah Palin’s son, but the son of Bristol Palin” insanity. And it appears more and more that this Ashley Todd oddity will join the ranks of the twisted political nutbags looking to destroy the opponent, whatever it takes.
Ashley Todd, a 20-year-old white volunteer for John McCain’s presidential campaign, says she was mugged at an ATM machine in Pittsburgh …by a big black man. She further says he threw her down, then disfigured her by carving the letter “B” into her face with a sharp implement when he saw that she supported McCain, not Barack Obama.

So what’s wrong with this picture? Why would someone be suspicious of Ashley Todd’s story?
Notice how the “B” is backwards on the right cheek……if you were looking in a mirror and put it on your own face…it would appear backwards and would probably be on your own right cheek (due to most folks are right handed)……she put it on her own face but forgot it would show up backwards.
She may have been robbed and beaten but I think she added the “B”….
Take a close look at the picture.
I have my doubts about the veracity of this claim. The “B” is too neat. The “victim” refused medical attention after having reported the incident, and her statements apparently don’t gel with the evidence from the ATM where the attack allegedly occurred. Police planned to administer a polygraph in an effort to get to the truth.
This smells funny to Michelle Malkin, her readers, and to me as well.
The election season is contentious and stupid enough as it is. Why make it more so? Is it a cry for attention? Is it a misguided, retarded effort to give McCain an edge? If so, and if she gets exposed as a fraud, McCain’s political ambitions will be hurt by this incident, not helped.
To quote Ms. Malkin, “We have enough low-lifes and thugs in the world running loose and causing campaign chaos and fomenting hatred without having to make them up.”
AMEN!
UPDATE: No surprise here. Todd admitted she inflicted the injuries on herself. This was a hoax. Nothing happened. Stupid. Worthless. Race-baiting. Twat. And she’s now claiming she’s had mental issues. So it’s not her fault, right? She’s not to blame, right? Like we don’t have enough visceral racism in this campaign. She needs to add fuel to the fire, right?

Todd admitted she made up the whole attack story earlier this morning. I don’t have a link to the local Pittsburgh tv stations handy, but if you google her name + “hoax” you can find video clips. Currently she’s claiming “prior mental problems” but dunno if that’s a dodge too. The police statement claims she acted alone w/out knowledge of the other College Republicans; they don’t detail whether the black eye was self-inflicted, or dummied up though.

Thanks for the update! I haven’t had a chance to look until just now. Will find and post!

Just found this over at TPM; looks like a McCain campaign press person may have helped reporters jump the gun on the story:http://tpmelectioncentral.talkingpointsmemo.com/2008/10/mccain_aide_gave_reporters_inc.php“John Verrilli, the news director for KDKA in Pittsburgh, told TPM Election Central that McCain’s Pennsylvania campaign communications director gave one of his reporters a detailed version of the attack that included a claim that the alleged attacker said, “You’re with the McCain campaign? I’m going to teach you a lesson.”"

She apparently has a history of lying, and interestingly enough, she was a strong support of Ron Paul. Yet more evidence that Ronulans are psychologically unstable.
