If you can find me a politician that has ever spoken truer words than Illinois Democrat Jack D. Franks today after the Illinois House voted to impeach the lunatic muppet that is its governor, please let me know!
The Illinois House voted overwhelmingly Friday to impeach Gov. Rod Blagojevich, an unprecedented action that sets up a Senate trial on whether he should be thrown out for allegedly trying to sell President-elect Barack Obama‘s vacant Senate seat.
Impeachment required just 60 votes. The final result was 114-1.
And if you think this is just about doing everything but putting Obambi’s Senate seat up for auction on Ebay, there’s much more than that! A special House committee on Thursday unanimously recommended impeachment, but not just based on the sae of the Senate seat. They also charge that “Blagojevich expanded a health care program without proper authority, that he circumvented hiring laws to give jobs to political allies, that he spent millions of dollars on foreign flu vaccine that he knew wasn’t needed and couldn’t be brought into the country.”
Yep, definitely a freak show.
Oh, and if you’re wondering who the blithering moron is who voted against impeachment, it’s Chicago Democrat (shocking, I know) Milton Patterson. There was another window-licking dimwit in the group. Rep. Elga Jefferies, another Chicago Democrat, voted “present.”

This may be good news, or bad news, considering he has not been convicted of anything yet. One wonders if any of them could survive being equally investigated.Especially in light of the fact that the legislature pilfered the Fish and Wildlife Fund of 9.25 million, in violation of federal lawhttp://www.sj-r.com/homepage/x497780293/State-just-weeks-from-losing-federal-wildlife-funds

It’s really convenient how the trial is scheduled to take place AFTER Negrodamus’ coronation…

Don’t be too hard on Jefferies, the record-holding “present” voter is now the elected president.Perhaps Jefferies has high aspirations and is just following a winning formula. After all, Americans don’t seem to be a damn bit smarter now than they were in November. Or at either party convention for that matter.
