Get ready to have big nanny state stick its large proboscis into your refrigerator!

The Japanese government argues that it must regulate citizens’
lifestyles because it is paying their health costs. This highlights one
of the greatly underappreciated dangers of “universal healthcare.” Any
government that attempts to guarantee healthcare must also control its
costs. The inevitable next step will be to seek to control citizens’
health and their behavior. Hence, Americans should beware that if we
adopt universal healthcare, we also risk creating a “nanny state on
steroids” antithetical to core American principles.

You think this is a joke, and can never happen here?  Whose tax dollars do you think will pay for this so-called “free” health care?  Don’t you think that if you invest your money into something you have a right to demand that your money is used in the most effective and cost efficient manner?  Ergo, if you are forced by the government to invest your money into health care, you have the right to demand that those who take advantage of your money aren’t abusing it.  Ergo… have fun protesting when the nanny state peeks into your fridge and demands you should eat healthier and not buy that frozen burrito you so love.
