Given the… ahem… issues members of the Obama administration seem to have with paying their taxes… I wonder.
As a deep recession strips Americans of their jobs, homes and
investments, the 2009 U.S. tax season promises to see a large uptick in
first-time delinquent income taxpayers.
Hey! Don’t pay your taxes, and you too can become Treasury Secretary, or even the Secretary of Health and Human Services!

And it’s only going to get worse when we get slammed with the bill for this stimulus package. We’re seeing this on the local level too. My county has the highest unemployment rate in this part of the state, yet the school districts think it’s the perfect time to raise taxes to pay for $17 million dollar projects for geothermal whosawhatsits. My local tax collector, sweet lady, attends the board meetings and begs them to back off. She’s had the worst collection year she can remember.I think I’d like to be Secretary of State and tell the UN where they can go.
