Is this the kind of Hope and Change ™  you were looking for? Those of you who were expecting magic unicorns to shit gold coins on your front lawn one minute after Teh Anointed One ™ was inaugurated – just wait until it’s YOU protesting peacefully about something that makes those in power uncomfortable.

Senior White House adviser David Axelrod on Sunday suggested the
“Tea Party” movement is an “unhealthy” reaction to the tough economic
climate facing the country.

Axelrod was asked on CBS’s “Face the Nation” about the “spreading
and very public disaffection” with the president’s fiscal policies seen
at the “Tea Party” rallies around the country last week.

“I think any time you have severe economic conditions there is
always an element of disaffection that can mutate into something that’s
unhealthy,” Axelrod said.

Hear that, my fellow right-wing extremist wingnuts?  Protest is unealthy.  Dissent is unhealthy.  Don’t question your government.  Don’t express dissatisfaction to those whom you put in office.  Your dissent is unwanted and detrimental to the morale of the sheep.

“The thing that bewilders me is that this president just cut taxes for
95 percent of the American people,” Axelrod argued. “I think the tea
bags should be directed elsewhere because he certainly understands the
burden that people face.”

ORLY?

I’m a single parent with two kids, and I apparently make too much money, even though I’m still under six figures, because I get ass raped on taxes every single damn paycheck!  I got a performance bonus this year, and 48 percent of it somehow vanished – 25 percent for federal taxes alone!

But hey, Axelrod, you apparently don’t even understand what these protests are about.  Does it really matter that “95 percent” of the American people are ALLEGEDLY getting a tax cut, which by the way is a crock of burqa-clad shi’ite, because more than 30 percent of Americans don’t pay any taxes anyway?

No.  What matters is the way our tax dollars are being spent.  What matters is the insane idea that spending your way out of debt is somehow logical and rational.  What matters is not how much we pay now, but what future generations will be paying when they’re forced to give up the majority of their income just to pay interest on the insane spending plan the Marxist Messiah and his asshatted acolytes in Congress have saddled us with.

But obviously my fellow veterans and I are just a band of right-wing extremists… or victims of right-wing extremists… not sure which one. (I guess it depends from which side of her mouth Janet Napolitano is speaking.)  So when we protest, the elite simply paint us with the broad brush of zealotry and discount our views as just so much fanatical tripe.

I’m actually disappointed I didn’t get a chance to attend the protests on the 15th.  Superman and I had every intention of going, but first I got stuck at work, and then we got stuck in traffic. And if you guys have ever actually driven in DC traffic in the rain, you’ll understand why we didn’t make it.

I guess I’ll exhibit my right-wing nuttery at another time.
