I’m not sure if there’s more to this story… if it’s being blown out of proportion… if it’s true…
BUT…
If there is a grain of truth to this report, the moron who made that call needs a hot tar enema!
A North Carolina congressman who supports an overhaul of the health
care system had his life threatened, as increasingly raucous protests
are greeting pro-reform lawmakers at town hall meetings across the
country.
Democratic Rep. Brad Miller received the death threat in a phone
call Monday, one of hundreds the congressman’s office has fielded
demanding town-hall meetings on the health care proposal, said his
spokeswoman, LuAnn Canipe.
I am the last person who would support socialized health care. I’ve had way too much experience with it. I’m one of its most ardent opponents! I will vocally and proudly stand up and tell my elected representatives “NO!” And I will do everything in my power to spread the word of its horrors far and wide.
But what I will NEVER support is ignorant assholes phoning in death threats to Congresscritters! I don’t give a damn how much of a traitor to freedom you think he or she is. I could care less if you think that’s the only way to make them listen (For the record, it isn’t. The best way to make them listen is to boot them all out of office – something most Americans are too chickenshit to do, because they’re so stupidly afraid to vote for anything other than a major party).
If you phone a death threat to another human being, you’re a jackass, and you’re doing nothing to further the cause of freedom. What you’re doing is painting those of us who are working hard to make changes to the system as psychotic assholes. In other words, we all are judged by your douchebaggery.
So stop hurting the cause, moron!

Well said it’s not time to break out the last of the boxes.

This is the kind of crap the opposition will pull to make the people protesting obummer care and socialism look bad. Look at the union thugs stirring up crap already.I believe these people trying to silence lawful protest are capable of anything.

“If there is a grain of truth to this report,”Uh huh. You analysis is spot-on as usual… but tracing a phone call is a trivial matter these days. I’m not gonna fire up the tar pot until I see the mugshot.”..something most Americans are too chickenshit to do, because they’re so stupidly afraid to vote for anything other than a major party.”Zappa’s Theorem (like a crappy pop song) keeps repeating itself in my mind more and more frequently with each passing day:’The planet Earth is the only place in the universe where stupidity is more abundant than hydrogen.’

I would think that to trace a phone call you’d have to a) have the equipment to do so b) keep the caller on the phone for at least a few minutes. If the caller is calling the office of a legislator, my guess is the last thing they expect is a death threat, so they wouldn’t be ready to trace a call. But don’t quote me on that. I don’t know. If anyone has any idea how easy it is to trace a phone call, please post.
