To all those who served, continue to serve, and are about to serve, I salute you!
If you haven’t seen this excellent short film, please take a few minutes to watch it. I’ve owned this video for several years, and it never fails to bring tears to my eyes.
Remember, it’s not just a day off (for many of you, anyway) – it’s a day of honor and love. Love for our nation, love for those who protect her, and love for those who made the ultimate sacrifice to defend our country and our freedoms.

What some people don’t know about November 11,1918,1100am,is that everyone there (then) knew there would be a cease fire and an end to hostilities but ‘ol Black Jack Pershing wanted to teach the Germans “a lesson” and ordered the allies (Yanks,Brits, and French) to charge the German lines. The result,of course, was that all those troops thhat died, and there were a big bunch of em,died for absolutely nothing. Although Persing was called to task for this,he sailed through with ease, after all, he was the Big Hero.
