I really shouldn’t drink hot liquids when reading Daley dumbassery in the morning.
“Mayor Daley says Chicago’s ban on handguns needs to stay in place to save lives.”
ORLY?
Nine first degree murders reported between 02 January and 13 January 2010.
No one can deny that the rates of gun ownership have increased in the past few years, especially with Barack Obama’s election fueling fears of further restrictions, and yet, Reuters reports that there was a marked decrease in crime in the U.S. despite the prolonged recession. And yet despite this decline, Chicago remains one of the most dangerous cities in the country. That’s despite their draconian gun laws.
So whose lives are being saved?

I almost said, “That, because of their draconian gun laws” but then I remembered that correlation does not equal causation.Still, I can’t help but think that disarming Chicagoans doesn’t play SOME part in their victimization.

but causation ALWAYS causes correlation.
