You’re going to screw this country up the ass. How does it feel?
The majority of Americans oppose it. There were bribes, lies and arm twisting necessary to pass it. You’ve violated the very way laws are supposed to be passed, and by doing so increased your own power, even as those who planted your fat asses in those offices SCREAMED at you to stop!
And you did it all based on emotionalist histrionics, rhetoric and lies. Just plain lies.
In reality, if you strip out all the gimmicks and budgetary games and rework the calculus, a wholly different picture emerges: The health care reform legislation would raise, not lower, federal deficits, by $562 billion.
Gimmick No. 1 is the way the bill front-loads revenues and backloads spending. That is, the taxes and fees it calls for are set to begin immediately, but its new subsidies would be deferred so that the first 10 years of revenue would be used to pay for only 6 years of spending.
Even worse, some costs are left out entirely. To operate the new programs over the first 10 years, future Congresses would need to vote for $114 billion in additional annual spending. But this so-called discretionary spending is excluded from the Congressional Budget Office’s tabulation.
Consider, too, the fate of the $70 billion in premiums expected to be raised in the first 10 years for the legislation’s new long-term health care insurance program. This money is counted as deficit reduction, but the benefits it is intended to finance are assumed not to materialize in the first 10 years, so they appear nowhere in the cost of the legislation.
Another vivid example of how the legislation manipulates revenues is the provision to have corporations deposit $8 billion in higher estimated tax payments in 2014, thereby meeting fiscal targets for the first five years. But since the corporations’ actual taxes would be unchanged, the money would need to be refunded the next year. The net effect is simply to shift dollars from 2015 to 2014.
Hmmmm… Who’s the rightard pundit Teabagger who wrote this? Douglas Holtz-Eakin – the director of the Congressional Budget Office from 2003 to 2005.
These people are repugnant. I’m sickened even to live on the same planet as them. They’re going to drive us even further into crushing debt. They’re going to spend us into poverty, and the only people who will wind up paying in the end are the productive who actually work to make a living. We’ll be the ones paying for the politicians to wield even more power over us. We’ll be the ones funding their power orgy.
I have a question for you leftards: who will be left to steal from when you’ve driven the productive into poverty?

It would be funny, if the cartoon didn’t portray a truth…My weapons are well stored, ammo dry. My training is current and often, and helping others to wake up accordingly is my hobby. God bless you Nicki, and may he bless our efforts as well.

A democrat who admits to being a democrat after yesterdays fiasco is 1. One of Mbambos chosen looking to get some Obama Stash2. A eprson who has no real clue as to what is going on because he/she uses network broadcasting for news3. A fellow traveler like those in DC who really do want to over throw the US. I hope they rember what happened to the tories during and after the 1st American Revolution.
