This flag few at Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo when I was deployed there in 2007. It represents everything that is good and honorable about this nation. We are young, and we are idealistic, but we are fundamentally good and decent. And when others suffer, we are the first to rise up and offer help.
Remember the fundamental principles on which this nation was built. Honor them. If you do not, you will lose them. That’s a promise.

Off topic, but related. I have noticed on all the talking head shows and news casts, the talking heads wishing everybody a “happy 4th”. I haven’t seen or heard any wish a Happy Independence Day. Are those words verboten? Is it considered divisive to acknowledge the reason for the celebration? I don’t know the answer, but I sure as Hell don’t like the avoidance of the reason for the day off from work.
