Politico reports this morning that the White House is preparing 19 separate Executive Orders on guns.
The executive actions could include giving the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention authority to conduct national research on guns, more aggressive enforcement of existing gun laws and pushing for wider sharing of existing gun databases among federal and state agencies, members of Congress in the meeting said.

The claim is that the proposals will focus on enforcement of existing laws. But at the same time the White House is set on proposing another ban, including scary-looking black rifles and “high-capacity” magazines, which the corrupt politicians claim the populace doesn’t need.
Additionally, this has me curious. It is the legislature’s constitutional duty to pass laws, but yet, everyone is urging the White House to “do as much by executive order as possible.” This ultimately means that the White House knows its gun-grabbing agenda will not pass the legislature, and likely will be challenged as unconstitutional in the courts. So it’s being encouraged to do everything it can to subvert the system and circumvent the Constitution.
Texas Republican Rep. Steve Stockman threatened Monday afternoon that he would file articles of impeachment against President Barack Obama if he institutes gun control measures with an executive order.

“I will seek to thwart this action by any means necessary, including but not limited to eliminating funding for implementation, defunding the White House, and even filing articles of impeachment,” Stockman said in a statement.
I wonder if the GOP will actually have the balls to do it.

I actually hope the Traitor in Chief tries to do it by Executive Order. It’ll activate more patriots and initiate impeachment proceedings.
It’ll also blatantly expose his desire to be a dictator and circumvent our form of government.

Buying guns doesn’t necessarily mean there will be mass resistance of any kind. I think most are hoping to purchase them now before new laws come into effect, so that they’ll be grandfathered. Just a thought. I’m a pessimist.

He is the chief executive and executive privilege has been used by even George Washington. Only twice has an executive privilege been overturned by the court. Using executive privilege was used by Bush 298 times and by Obama not near as often. Use of executive order is not an impeachable offense so lets hope the president gets things rolling.

Slavery and Gun Control two issues that divided our country. Slavery resulted in a civil war with the proponents losing, a large section of our country destroyed and 650,000 citizens lost their lives for an issue that would have gone away within 50 years. Gun Control activists have yet to draw a line on the issue . The Supreme Court has recently extended the second amendment and the public will not lose their guns so the issue becomes what type of gun should the public have access too? If some “Americans” want a civil war over semi-auto weapons and or the size of the magazine I believe that they are seriously overplaying their cards. Most Americans are opposed to large magazines including the polls among NRA members. >These folk are spread out and not localized like the South in the civil war. Do citizens really want a civil war over such a trivial issue when there are so many other resolutions to this issue. Gun banning is not gun control. The gun rights folk have had it their way for a long time and look where we are today. It is apparent that a change is needed and will happen.

In response to Gus , the war of 1861-1865 has been mistakenly called a civil war for too long . A civil war is when 2 entities are fighting to take control of a gov’t. It should be called the ” WAR BETWEEN THE STATES ” . The South did not want to take over the Union , they wanted to secede from it . The issue of slavery was used to whip up emotions in the North .

Every single State that seceded in their letter of secession listed slavery as the primary reason for doing so. Bloody Kansas in the 1850 was fought over slavery in new territory. The Kansas/Nebraska Act concerned only one item Slavery. The primary property of the South was the slave. The southern states on the east coast stopped the importation of slaves so that they could sell the slaves they were producing to the southern states in the west. Remember General Lee got the Union Flag shoved up his ass at Gettysburg…Thats in Pennsylvania I do believe and was trying a back door to Washington D.C to conquer the North. My statement about all of us being activated or called by the draft if we are gun owners is not wrong. It is possible if only remotely so.
I am well educated at least those institutions who issued my degrees thought so. Over 5 years served on a police department taught me a lot about folks. Twenty nine years working in technical science, and project management required me to continue my education to stay on top of my field of studies. Since retiring my hobby is restoring WW2 battle rifles and weapons. I have a collectors of curios and relics license. I am a member of an excellent shooting club and firing range and fire on a weekly basis. I know as does most shooters and gun owners that the current law is in need of change and that responsible gun advocates need to take part in the on going discussion. a) I know plenty of folks who carry automatics in the backs of their trucks to shoots and such. I also know what you need is an FFL and a $200 tax stamp from the Feds. Gun laws differ by state, but we’re discussing federal laws right now.
b) The number of rounds in a magazine does not turn a semi-automatic into a “rapid fire” killing machine. A semi automatic fires one round with one pull of the trigger. I would think you’d know that. If I want. I can pre-load ten 10-round mags, and it takes less than two seconds to switch them out. I would think you’d know that as well. That’s why I thought you were referring to automatic weapons.
c) My comments about the militia are complete. You obviously missed the point of what I was saying. We are all part of the militia (with a few exceptions). The Founders have reiterated that fact several times. The point was and remains that the militia should have the same weapons as the regular army.

I don’t like the way doctors could be used nefariously by an angry ex to impugn the character of a gun owner. But most of his EO’s seem more to agree with gun rights advocates than to oppose us. He even kinda looked defeated, like he already knew he wasn’t going to get any gun laws passed.

Scott, Nicki is an extremely talented person. I would seriously recommend her and she should include in her resume her review of Les Mis. Her ability to transmit emotion in script should lead her to publishing a book about a subject she is passionate about. Whatever subject she would choose fiction or non fiction would be readable. I’m afraid to compliment her because I don’t like be labeled as condescending. I don’t like to see talent wasted on goobleygump. I would like to see her do a piece on deadbeat fathers or how to really love your children, subjects that are dear to her heart. Her combining of inventive with invective was for me at least an effective calling card to this site however my compliment was interpreted as condescending. Wish her well for me.
