Racist Gun Grabbing Scum

Those of you who know me personally, or have read my rants for a while, know how visceral my reactions are to racism. I simply don’t tolerate it. I won’t stand for it on my blog, and I won’t stomach it in my life. So when I see particularly pernicious examples of ignorance and racism, my anger is palpable.

So sit down, y’all. I’m about to piss the ignorant among you off.

Racism doesn’t just emanate from white folk. I know that’s what you’re taught by today’s system. You disagree with the President?  SHUT UP, RACIST!!! You want smaller government? SHUT UP, RACIST!!!  You want reduced spending? SHUT UP, RACIST!!! You didn’t vote for Obama? RACIST!!!! You oppose extended, wasteful welfare programs? SHUT UP, RACIST!!! And if you don’t want more gun control, you MUST be a racist, because you want black babies killed by them evil guns!  Racism isn’t endemic to white people.  It’s also deeply engrained in the culture of the embittered, enraged blacks who feel themselves entitled to denigrate those they feel have somehow wronged their entire race.

And frankly, I’m sick and tired of the likes of Laura Washington, Charles Ogletree, and Eric Holder accusing me and people like me of racism, even as they promote racist policies and ideas – their president, their America, their people.

Enter Alabama State Rep. Joe Mitchell (Dipshit-Mobile), who in response to a politely-written letter by Alabama resident Eddie Maxwell, demanding Alabama legislators not implement any more gun control measures, decided to go off on a rambling, racist tirade.

Can the officers of our state government change our constitution when the change is forbidden by the people? The Supreme Court of Alabama has ruled that it cannot in an opinion dealing with another matter where change is forbidden. You have sworn to support our constitution. You have defined a violation of an oath in an official proceeding as a class C felony (C.O.A. Section 13A-10-101 Perjury in the first degree).

Do not violate your oath of office by introducing additional gun control bills or by allowing those already enacted to remain in the body of our laws.

I don’t see anything in Mr. Maxwell’s letter that was disrespectful or threatening, and yet… Mitchell has decided to take the opportunity to berate the writer and call him names, as well as threaten him. How professional.

Hey man. Your folk never used all this sheit to protect my folk from your slave-holding, murdering, adulterous, baby-raping, incestuous, snaggle-toothed, backward-a**ed, inbreed, imported criminal-minded kin folk. You can keep sending me stuff like you have however because it helps me explain to my constituents why they should protect that 2nd amendment thing AFTER we finish stocking up on spare parts, munitions and the like.

Bring it. As one of my friends in the Alabama Senate suggested – “BRING IT!!!!”

Luckily, a number of legislators responded to the exchange, and condemned Mitchell’s racist tirade.

For the record, plenty of evidence exists that gun control was originally a tool for the racists to keep them uppity blacks from rebelling.

The late Charlton Heston, along with Paul Newman, Marlon Brando – alongside their black fellow artists – marched on Washington in 1963 for equal rights.  Yes, THAT Charlton Heston – the former NRA president. The one who wanted to ensure that your civil rights were protected, including the right to keep and bear arms.

For the record, I abhor the fact that black people are dying disproportionately by gunfire, and I have to wonder – like Juan Williams – why no one refuses to address the root causes of violence in the black community, and why when the President mentioned the social breakdown of the African-American family – births out of wedlock, resultant poverty and lack of loving, supportive, education-promoting parents, he was accused by racist, adulterous maggot Jesse Jackson  of “talking down” to black people – probably in response to his own guilt about hiding his mistress and illegitimate child and funding her with charity money!

People like Jackson and like this Joe Mitchell asshole would much rather talk about disarming those who are not responsible for the violence than the problems within their own communities. They would rather scare people with the racist boogieman than promote the difficult work of restoring the black family and honor lost through brainless, misogynistic, violence-promoting gangsta rap. Because condemning broken families and rap music is racist, while trying to leave everyone – black or white – a disarmed potential victim is noble.

And if you disagree… well, then SHUT UP, RACIST!!!

What Are We Defending Here?

I have this buddy. He’s one of the coolest Army officers I know. He doesn’t give a shit if I curse, he prays for me, he accepts me with all my faults, and he loves me even though I’m an atheist. My buddy is a chaplain. We disagree on many things, including faith and certain aspects of social conservatism, but we are respectful toward one another, and fundamentally, we hold the same values.

My buddy was asked to do an invocation at a African American History Month event recently. As far as invocations go, this one was beautiful, and I’ve had to sit through some doozies, where, by the time the rambling was done, I had taken a nap, written a blog entry and untangled string theory.  My friend’s invocation was clear, concise and poignant. It respected and recognized the pain and suffering of African Americans through the years, and also paid homage to the beauty that is this nation and the progress we have made in race relations.

“Eternal god, we celebrate America. Though many of African descent draw their family tree to slavery, it is in America that they became free again. Though many black Americans suffered the scourge of discrimination, it is in America that they won equality.  And though many artists, actors, statesmen and women, and athletes faced the poison of racism, it is in America that they were able to express their souls freely. So God who saves us all, who made is equal in your eye, we pause to thank you for them, and most especially this blessed land, America. For its in the Name of your Son that we pray, Amen.”

I’m someone who doesn’t even believe there is a God, and doesn’t pray, and I still say it’s a beautiful prayer! But apparently it just wasn’t enough for the unit commander. So this O-6 came up to the podium after my friend finished the invocation and proceeded to essentially contradict what he said with vague claims of racism and accusations of insufficient progress. She said that America was still a place where discrimination was sadly commonplace, that we had a “long way to go,” and that we are still a nation where overt racism still exists. It was quite clear what this… officer was doing and why.

Without current strife, there’s nothing to fight for.

Without accusations of continued racism and discrimination, there is nothing to overcome.

It’s no longer interesting. It’s no longer dramatic. So she created drama, where beauty and poignancy took place.

Can anyone tell me WHAT. THE. FLYING. FESTERING. FUCK???

We are a nation that elected an African American man to the White House – not once, but twice! We may vehemently disagree with him and even dislike him, but the majority of this nation elected him. And she has the balls to call us racist?

We are a nation that protects the rights of African Americans – and everyone else – to publish their thoughts – their poetry and prose, create art, both visual and aural, to achieve, to excel at sports, music, cinema, philosophy, science and politics…

We are the home of Hank Aaron, James Baldwin, Maya Angelou, Toni Morrison, Langston Hughes, Denzel Washington, the late, great Gregory Hines, Lena Horne, Bill Cosby, Morgan Freeman, James Earl Jones, Booker T. Washington and so many others!

We are a nation that saw the ascent of Condoleezza Rice and Colin Powell to some of the highest ranks in government and of Clarence Thomas to the highest court in the land.

And all this African American achievement came only several decades after Jim Crow… after discrimination… and a relatively short time after slavery ended.

We have made tremendous progress in a relatively short time. We serve alongside one another in the armed forces and work side-by-side in the civilian world.

And yet, this pathetic drama queen had the nerve to belittle this progress… to minimize our achievements… to disparage this country as racist and evil in order to promote African American victimhood!

My friend won’t say this, but I will!

You are a commissioned officer in the United States Army. You have sworn an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign or domestic, and bear true faith and allegiance to the same. If you believe this nation is filled with evil racist scum, what the flying fuck are you doing in the Army defending it? If we are so evil… so discriminatory… so horrible, why the hell are you here? Why are you serving a nation you believe to be so insidious?

You belittle the gigantic strides America has made toward equality and justice, and you promote black people as victims.

You destroy the beauty of a prayer that recognizes the abominable past and exhilarates a glorious future.

You deride a nation that strives to protect the rights of all people, and promotes equal opportunities for all.

Why the hell should I trust you to be an officer in my armed forces?

And does anyone other than me find it ridiculous that a woman who has made it to the rank of O-6 in the military, and is presiding over African American history month, celebrating the achievements of African Americans, is whining about racism?

Sure, there are some racist scumbags out there. They exist, and it’s unfortunate. But racism is no longer part of this nation’s fabric. It’s more like the fringe.

This was the straw that broke the camel’s back for my friend. “This is not the America I know, nor will I fight for it,” he told me in an email. “And if this is the standard of America’s commissioned officers, it is time for me to retire from active service and join hands with my sisters and brothers of all races to restore a vision of America where true liberty, equality, and justice for all exists.”

I can’t blame him. Any military that promotes drama queens who advocate victimhood instead of achievement and wretched martyrdom as virtue, instead of accomplishment and victory is doomed to death by political correctness. And good officers such as my friend will leave in droves, making room for the whining, entitled, perpetually offended.

I can only hope that this… officer… this pathetic, whimpering, whining thing leaves my Army and fades into obscurity where she belongs. The Army doesn’t need people like her, and neither do African Americans. She’s not an advocate for them, she’s an excuse-making dolt.

And we all know the maximum effective range of an excuse.

Racism? Really?

I’m sick and tired of this shit, folks. Yes, Obama won. Yes, we have four more years. Yes, the GOP once again ran a shit sandwich this year. OK? Done. Over.

But once again, like last year, accusations of racism crawl out of the woodwork like hungry intestinal parasites.

If you don’t agree with the President’s agenda, you’re a racist. After all, why else would you oppose ObamaCare? You must want little black children to die without health care, RACIST!

If you believe the administration, and in particular Susan Rice, screwed the pooch on Benghazi, you’re racist, sexist AND misogynist. You’re a triple threat. Kill yourself.

If you don’t like the election results, you’re racist. And if you voted for Mitt Romney, you’re a FUCKING RACIST!

William Jefferson hiding cash in the freezer? You can’t accuse him of taking bribes! That’s RACIST!

Oh, and by the way, if you question the way government spends money, you’re racist too. But apparently only if you’re white. Thank you, Marion Barry.

And God and Goddess forbid you oppose illegal immigration, you’re not just a racist, you’re a goddamn, motherfucking racist!

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

When I was a kid, I grew up in the USSR. I went to a kindergarten in Ukraine, first grade and part of second grade. I had a weird, Jewish last name. My passport and birth certificate had “Jewish” on it, so even though we weren’t religious, everyone knew.

I know about prejudice. I know about coming into the kindergarten class and getting beaten up daily because of the weird Jewish last name. BEATEN. Not laughed at or castigated. Not words. Actions. And said actions were perpetrated by other kids with the full knowledge and sanctions of the teachers.

I know about being forced to sit in a hard, wooden chair at nap time, while all the other non-Jew kids were allowed to nap in little sleeping bags with embroidery on them.

I know about not being allowed to go to the bathroom, and being forced to hold my urine until I wet myself.

I know about being forced to sit alone and watch while all the other non-Jew kids were encouraged to play together at play time.

I remember being taunted endlessly because of my funny Jewish last name.

All because I had a funny last name. All because I was a Jew.

So when I hear these contrived accusations of racism, I honestly want to beat the accuser with a baseball bat!

That is not to say that racism doesn’t exist. It always will as long as there are ignorant assholes in the world. But to claim that Republicans are racist because they vote for someone other than a black man? What the fuck is wrong with you people?

To claim that John McCain is racist because he criticized the UN Ambassador for perpetuating a lie on Benghazi is racist? What the fuck is wrong with you, James Clyburn?

To screech that any criticism of Susan Rice is necessarily misogynist in nature? What the fuck is wrong with you, Marcia Fudge?

Where the hell were you assholes when libtards were out there launching attacks on Sarah Palin?  Agree with her, or not, hate her or not, the attacks she and her kids endured were much more vicious and severe than criticizing the UN Ambassador for pretending that the Benghazi attack was nothing more than the “Religion of Peace” reacting to some obscure, idiotic movie! ESPECIALLY since the Libyan government arrested the terrorists two days after the attack and confirmed what this attack was. Two days after the attack.

Where the hell were you race baiters when Patrick Murphy was  airing ads in Florida portraying Allen West as a gold-toothed thug, punching out an old lady?  If that had been a Democrat black man in that ad, you motherfuckers would be screeching RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM at the tops of your pathetic lungs!

To all you hypocrites hiding behind your race as justification for your shortcomings hear the following.

Criticizing policies that take us on the road to fiscal ruin is not racist.

Criticizing job performance is not racist.

Disagreeing with an agenda is not racist.

If you are a woman, a black person, a Hispanic, a blind midget or a paralyzed sloth you should be held to exactly the same standard as anyone else who is white and male. You are not allowed to defend your actions by deflecting to the race card!

I’m sick and tired of hearing your shit, Fudge, Clyburn, Barry and other hypocrite scum!

I grew up not noticing color. I have friends of every race, religion and sexual orientation. I don’t care how black, Oriental, fat, gay or female you are. If you do a shitty job, I will tell you. If you do a good job, you will hear it from me as well! If you lie, I will call you on it.

You are not entitled to special treatment because of your race, your gender, your sexual orientation or anything else. I expect the same integrity, honor and responsibility from my representatives in Washington, and I don’t give a damn what color you are! And if you lie, cheat, steal, take bribes or engage in any kind of corruption, you should be deprived of your position and jailed, asshole! And I don’t care if you’re black!

If I disagree with your Marxist contention “From each according to his ability, to each according to his need,” and if I oppose your redistributionist policies, it doesn’t make me a racist, it makes me a human being who is sick and tired of being punished for achievement and having my earnings stolen and given to those who have not achieved as much as I have.

So FUCK OFF!

Oh, Tolerance! How I love thee!

I’m an unabashed fan of the Daily Show. I don’t really watch TV – I don’t have time to – but I love going to the site and watching Daily Show clips online. Yes, there are many things I suspect Jon Stewart and I would disagree on, but I will give him a lot of credit for exposing hypocrisy, obtuseness, asshattery and downright dimwittedness on both sides of the political aisle!

Case in point: tolerance.

The current president has been spewing tolerance and civility with the intensity of a fire hose for several years now. And while liberals will point to the occasional overtly racist nimrod at a TEA Party rally or  salivate with glee when the likes of Rick Santorum or Todd Akin open their ignorant traps about gay rights or pregnancy, generally conservatives have a pretty open mind. We do have Log Cabin Republicans (gays, for those of you who don’t know), the Republican Liberty Caucus, who are more libertarian-leaning, TEA Party folks, social conservatives, moderates, Pagans, Evangelicals, and every race imaginable.

The one thing I was pretty excited about as the GOP convention droned on is the sheer variety of people at the Republican convention, even if I’m not particularly thrilled with the candidate. There were accomplished women – a former SECSTATE, several governors, political leaders, etc. There were folks of all races. And there were all levels of GOP, even though the antics of the establishment left me enraged beyond belief.

And I do think, overall, the persona of the GOP as the party of old, white men has been changing, despite the Democrats’ efforts to keep that label firmly stuck to the Republican brand.

And while the Democrats paint themselves as being the party of inclusion and tolerance, the Daily Show and its crack team of “reporters” shows exactly why they’re a bunch of lying swine.

 

 

Well, gosh! I don’t know why anyone would think the Democrats aren’t a welcoming bunch! They like everybody… except those who don’t quite agree with their views.

Oh, and no gun owners.

And by the way, if you’re religious, they don’t want you anywhere near them either.

And they looooooooooooooooooooooove the poor – unless, of course, they can afford to live in a trailer and not in government housing, and have bad dental hygiene. No dentist? Forget it!

And if you own a business, you’re quite obviously the oppressor, so you’re not allowed within 50 feet of them either.

And if you’re Nicki Minaj (whose music – if you can even call it that – I hate with the passion of a thousand burning suns, and whose “style” makes me want to crawl under a table and not come out until she puts on a bathrobe), and you rap about voting for Romney, they may just want to kill you.

Oh and if you’re gay and you support Republicans, you’re obviously a self-loathing traitor. Just ask Gay Patriot.

So whom does that leave again?

Where’s the blood? (UPDATED)

I will say, this Martin shooting is getting interesting. A surveillance video taken the night George Zimmerman shot Trayvon Martin shows no visible blood on the guy, despite police reports and the lawyer’s contention that he had a broken nose and blood on his head.

What does this mean?

I have no idea yet.

I guess we shall see.

UPDATE:  I thought the video was really unclear, but it certainly didn’t look like Zimmerman was bloody in it. However, someone said he was cleaned up before being taken to the police station, and the Daily Caller enhanced a still from the video, which clearly shows a pretty large gash on the back of Zimmerman’s head.
